The perfect high-impact solution to help fight climate change

Biochar doesn’t fix nature… it creates appropriate conditions for regeneration.

Earth: Removing carbon from the atmosphere and sequestering it in soil to effectively keep the carbon from ending up in the atmosphere.

Grower: Improving soil carbon content, soil health and moisture retention, aiding regenerative farming practices through the incorporation of biochar in farmland.

What is Biochar?

Microscopic view of biochar, showcasing its porosity.

Biochar is a porous carbon compound with a substantial surface area.  As a result, it can adsorb (hold on its external surface) a significant amount of soil nutrients and water molecules, and with its “coral-like” structure, biochar houses all manner of microorganisms and soil biota. With its variable cation and anion exchange capacity, biochar attracts excess nitrogen and other nutrients otherwise lost or leached away from beneficial use.

Why Sitos Group Biochar?

Made by growers, used by growers. Sitos Group produces only the highest-quality, durable biochar.

  • High carbon content with an 85% carbon minimum.

  • High surface area and microporous carbon structure to maximize nutrient and water holding capacity.

  • Soil decontaminant and water filtration.

  • Permanence of 100+ years

  • Customizable pH values for varying soil types.

Applied by Growers

Sitos Group’s biochar is not only made by Growers, but also used by Growers, so our biochar must be reliable, consistent, and meet the specific soil requirements that are being amended. Our carbon removal solutions are absolutely rooted in sound Ag practices which equates to durable CDR.
